I'm very excited for the new hobbit movie coming out in December. I've watched the cartoon version (1977) ever since I was young.
In my love and admiration for the cartoon version, I've drawn myself as a Hobbit.

I wathed the 1977 version as a kid too! I used to watch it all the time it was and still is one of my favorites. I watched the new hobbit movie and it was cool. But 1977 will always have a special place in my heart.

I loved it as a kid, it was seriously the absolute best. I remember reading the book too, and being so obsessed with it. I had a little cape made and wore "hobbit" or "elf" clothes, around the house. I was a tad strange as a child. hahaa

You know, if somebody asked me what I would be in middle earth while everyone else would be a wizard or elf i'd probably be a hobbit. I'd just be that one hobbit that all the hobbit's turn a nose up at and whisper about when they think i'm not looking. Me and Bilbo would probably be friends, I love a good story.

How did you make this by the way? It's really good. I tried hand drawing myself as a hobbit but it looked more like a human with big eyes. :/ Anyway, I love this drawing! Thank you for being the few persons to do art for this movie!

I totally understand! I have a big friend group that all went to see it! We were all going to dress up (but that's not allowed anymore...) and we had all chosen what/who we would be! I chose a hobbit, so I get ya! I would be good friends with Bilbo, or if later, the took brothers! Haha

And, I took an old picture of Bilbo and I just looked at the details while I drew out what I think I'd look like as a hobbit, paying attention to Bilbo's posture, proportions and facial features. (Like hobbits have silly buck teeth)

I thought that it might just be Bilbo because Frodo and Sam wise never had buck teeth in the return of the king but maybe i just never caught them.
